On Tuesday, September 17, MIR held the first Montessori U event of the year highlighting how its official Student Learner Outcomes come alive in the classrooms. Teachers were on hand to demonstrate the work that students from Toddlers through Upper Elementary do to meet these outcomes.
Head of School Jenny Davidson estimated that the teachers in the room collectively offered 250 years worth of teaching experience. The open house atmosphere offered parents a rare opportunity to tap into that expertise.
Your next opportunity to see the outcomes of Montessori education is less than two weeks away, at Life after Montessori. MIR alumni and alumni parents will answer your questions honestly about how their Montessori education prepared them (or their children) for the next phases of their lives and for adulthood.
Life after Montessori will be held on Tuesday, October 1 at 6 p.m. MIR is offering childcare to enrolled students of all ages for this special event. A dessert reception will follow. RSVP now.
